To begin this journey into furthering the cruelty free movement I can think of no better organization to support than the one who inspired me to walk down this path in the first place. The Beagle Freedom Project opened my eyes to all the animal testing still happening. They inspired me shift to cruelty free purchases and they made me think bigger about how I can make as large an impact as possible helping animals everywhere by launching Love Ani.
The Beagle Freedom Project is the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Since 2010, they have liberated thousands of animals while working to end their abuse through education, advocacy, and legislation. Their dedication and efforts are helping us get closer to a world without animal testing.
The internet is full of awesome videos about dogs, but none pull at my heartstrings more than watching one of their survivors walk out of the cage they’ve lived in their entire lives onto grass for the first time. As someone who has been the beneficiary of the immense love beagles give, it is heartbreaking to think of one living in a cold dark lab and being poked and prodded without any affection their entire lives.
There are plenty of cruelty free options for all the products we buy today so it was an easy choice for me to switch to buying cruelty free. But none are pointing their focus towards helping end this practice and donating profits to help animals in need.
Love Ani donates 15% of our profits to help the Beagle Freedom Projects fight against animal testing and in medical bills and costs associated with rehoming these beautiful creatures.
